Back Problems

Not everyone experiences back problems or back pain. Sometimes when we experience a back ache or discomfort in our backs, it might be caused by the way we are sitting or sleeping. You can receive back injuries and wind up with back problems by doing the simplest of task, like picking up something that is too heavy for your to lift, lifting it the wrong way or carrying something on your hip like a toddler or a small child.

We also can have back problems from having a car wreck or falling or some other form of accident. Back problems can also stem from sitting in a chair with no support in front of your computer for long periods of time with out a break. You don’t think about sitting at your desk working eight, ten or twelve hours a day and the effects it might have on your health. If you don’t have the proper posture that can also lead to back problems or pain.

If you have a foot, leg or knee injury and you are walking to compensate for the injury by putting most of your weight on the good side that can cause minor back discomfort or problems. Other things that we might think about that can cause problems is lack of exercise, body weight and even the shoes that we wear. Women should especially think about their shoes especially if there are on a job where they stand for extended lengths of time like behind a cash register or in a check out stand. Also, think about the clothing that you wear and items like belts that ride on your hips at your lower back, or if you carry a heavy brief case or laptop computer around, or a student with tons of books in a back pack.

Of course back problems can stem for medical conditions as well as daily life. Arthritis is one medical condition that can cause back problems.
